Hamsters vs. Guinea Pigs

Hamsters vs. Guinea Pigs
Now, I personally don’t have a hamster or guinea pig, but I think we will all agree that hamsters and guinea pigs are at least cute. But, their cute and cuddliness is not the only thing that comes with a small rodent such as these.  This brings a huge debate, what is better? A guinea pig or hamster?
Hamsters are less furry than rabbits, shorter than ferrets, and smaller than guinea pigs. Let’s explain the difference between guinea pigs, and hamsters. Guinea pigs are, well, big.
Hamster                                                          Guinea Pig
1.   Hamsters might be 3-5 inches                                           1.   Guinea pigs might be 8-12 inches
2.    Lives from 2-3 years                                                            2. Lives from 5-7 years (normally)
3.   About the size of a fish tank.                                               3.    2 ft. by 2 1/2 ft.

including all of its contents, once a week to
remove additional soiled bedding and stale food.
Warning
Most harsh household cleaning products are
Poisonous to hamsters. Warm water and a mild soap,
such as dish-washing liquid, works best.

7.                                                                                            long hair pig, make sure you clip the nails

Now we have weighed the differences. Have you found out the pros and cons? While guinea pigs may be more expensive, they have longer lifespan. Hamsters are smaller, so less waste, but they don’t live very long. What is important to you? Is life or price? Hamsters have balls to torture your cat, guinea pigs, not so much.  Also, before you are turned off from guinea pigs grooming needs, you have to clip both its nails, but only brush it if it is long haired. I certainly hope that you learned from this report. I did, I also hope that you enjoyed. CAUSE I WORKED HARD!!! Just kidding. Anyway,  now I have explained these differences, which will you buy?  See you next for puppies vs. kittens!
