Lindsay's Story (Pt. 2)

Hi! I’m Lindsay, you may have heard of me before? Maybe not. Let’s just say I was in a book that was written recently, I forgot what it’s called.  This is what I guess you could call a sequel to the first one.
Anyway, I was walking to school one day when I ran into Bucky, the school bully, really, his name was Bartholomew.  But that is another story. “Hi, Shorty! You want to play some dodge ball?” he said as he threw a basketball at my face! Basketballs are hard, and heavy. Imagine one of those two pound weights that people run with getting thrown at you face. Not fun. I fell down, my nose was bleeding, and I was crying. The principal and my friend Kate, and her brother Levi ran up to me. “Lindsay, are you okay?” the principal and Levi asked. I didn’t answer, I was way too busy listening to Kate yell and scream and scold Bucky. He looked like a big three year old the way he coward before her. “Are you listening!? What is up with you??? You don’t just throw a basketball at somebody’s face! ‘Hey have a ball!’ NO!!!” Kate screamed. Bucky was looking pretty scared when I remembered my bloody nose. “Katherine, you can go to class now. I’ll take care of Lindsay, you too Levi. And Bartholomew, see me in the office. You heard me, The Office!” The principal said. Bucky shrunk down to six inches, and slunk away. The principal led me to the nurse’s office, my nose was still bleeding. Wow!  I thought. How much blood do I have up there? “Oh my! What happened? Come here Lindsay.” Chloe, the head nurse said. I sat on the chair. “What happened???” Chloe asked again. I explained it all, while watching her eyes get bigger and bigger, wider and wider! I thought her eyes were going to pop right out of their sockets!!! Chloe grabbed a wash cloth and started to clean my nose, she bandaged it up and I looked dumb, so she just said that if my nose started to bleed again, I should just ask to go to the ladies room. Well that was brilliant!
As I walked into class the other kids’ eyes grew wide. I had a feeling my nose looked crooked. During class I felt my nose began to bleed. I sighed and raised my hand. “And so Prepositions- yes Lindsay? Do you need something?” Mr. Lelli said. All the other kids stared at me. I drew in a breath. “Yes sir, may I go to the ladies room?” I asked. He nodded and I ran out, embarrassed. But not for the last time.
Later in class my nose began to bleed during Geography. “So which one of you can tell me where Mt. Everest is located?” Mr. Lelli asked. I raised my hand too quickly. “Oh, Lindsay. How about you come u and point it out?” my cheeks flushed, and I shakily went up to the board. I looked around d for it. “Hurry up Miss Tango!” Bucky sneered. I took in a breath. I pointed it out. “Good job Miss- I mean Lindsay.” Mr. Lelli said. I smiled, sat back down, asked to go to the bathroom, and when answered, ran out. I repeated this process 12 times before and after recess. People picked on me, thinking I was actually using the bathroom. Only Kate believed that I was fixing my nose.
The next day my nose still looked crooked. Bucky sneered at me, and teased me, and I wanted to punch him. Sometimes, school was so tough!
A week later, still the same. Two weeks later, status quo! Finally, finally! My nose looks basically normal again! OH YAY!!! After what seemed like years of humiliation, the suffering is over! Nobody teasing me no one staring at me! But strangely, no more Bucky!
Okay, so I know that Bucky isn’t my favorite person, but where could he be??? I mean honestly! I have never known him to ever be so sorry that he hurt someone, and I’ve never known him to get expelled. So much for my revenge plans of throwing a whole carton of eggs at him when he walked to school, so much for TPing his locker. No one seems to care that has gone!
Mystery solved! He was moved to another class! Hallelujah! He is out of my hair!!!
I saw Kate and she did not look happy. “Whats up?” I asked. “I have been moved to the class with Bucky, without you.” She said. I sighed, “That stinks.” I said. Levi nodded “why do you care?” I asked him. “Well, the Bible says to mourn with those who mourn, and to rejoice with those who rejoice.” H answered. I nodded, then said “Yes, but this is not at all the worst thing that could possibly happen to Kate you know.” I said. “I’m not so sure, Kate said it could be one of the worst.” Levi replied. Kate and I walked to our class laughing, leaving a puzzled Levi to go to his class.
I went to class, without Kate. The whole class room felt empty, even though it was chalked full with kids. New kids were there, and that meant everyone needed a new partner. Everyone hung out with someone else Mr. Lelli paired us up with. I was with Kate, but now I needed a new partner. “Alright! Ya’ll get new partners, so pay attention to who your with.” Mr. Lelli ordered. “Samsony/ Clevey.” He stared to call out names. I waited for mine. “Tango/ Dolomite.” He called out mine. I wondered who Dolomite was.
Well, is soon found out. A new girl whose real name was Brittany. I liked that sound. Lindsay and Brittany. Yes, that sounded good. Perhaps she would be almost as close a friend as Kate! Maybe she would be a genius and would help me with homework! Or maybe she’s a mean, snotty, perfect girl who just moved here. Oh brother! I should meet this girl before I blow up! Oh, I hope she’s goo!
Forget about good! We go together great! Like Pb&J, like salt and pepper, like cheese and mice, like- anyway,  at lunch, we shared cookies, talked about the newest pop star, and even told each other our phone numbers. It was really cool, even Kate seemed to like her…
Well, pretty soon Kate, Brittany, and I all became the cookie gang! The reason why was because we all gave out cookies to everyone one day. It was for our Sunday school class. I even gave a cookie to Bucky, or Bartholomew.  It was awesome! So I guess that change, really in retrospect isn’t all that bad! I mean come on, if Kate hadn’t moved to a different class, I wouldn’t get a new partner. And f I didn’t get a new partner, I wouldn’t have met Brittany! Wow, everything always works out for the best doesn’t it!?
