An Essay on Friendship

Friendship is not defined by how you and your friend look together, it’s not defined by popularity, it’s defined by your attitude to each other. Friendship in my opinion is a beautiful thing!!! One does not throw away friendship like one would throw away a empty pizza box. Or a person could have a full pizza box and someone else threw it away because they did not know it was full, or they could throw it away on purpose because they are mean. This essay is to make sure that no one throw away your pizza box, friendship I mean. Friendship may be the most important thing in the world!!! There is One friendship in particular that everyone must pursue.

“Jane?” Tommy asked Jane. “Yes?” Jane replied. “Instead of going to your party, I am going to hang out with Billie.” “ That bully? Why Tommy?” Jane asked. “It’s cool.” Tommy replied. Jane stomped off angrily and never talked to Tommy or Billie for that matter. It’s cool. Those two words could ruin a friendship! Being cool isn’t all that matters! Having a sturdy friend is what matters. Now, if this story were to happen to you, from Tommy’s side, what would you do?  You could do lots! You could do the best solution, you could show up at Jane’s party instead of going to hang out with Billie the bully. Or if you did hang out with Billie you could patch things up with your friend instead of giving up. You could knock on your friend’s door, ask if you could talk to the friend. In Cars 2 a character said that “no fight is more important than friendship”. I totally agree with that statement! The reason why is because, as it is also said in Cars 2 “Whoever find a friend, find a treasure!” That statement is also true.

Now let’s say you are from Jane’s point of view. I believe the most important thing, or phrase you should think about would be WWJD? What would Jesus do??? I guess you could punch Tommy in the stomach, but WWJD wouldn’t really work very well. Instead, you could confront, and work it out with your friend. I believe it is more important to keep a friendship than getting the pleasure of revenge. And also, remember, never confront in anger. If you do that you come across as not really wanting to fix your friendship, that’s a bad idea. You want to keep your friendship alive as long as you can.

  THE RULES OF FRIENDSHIP

There are a lot of rules in friendship. I think that the most important rule is The Golden Rule. Now if you have seen Aladdin you know of one type of Golden Rule, the fake, not real one. “Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.”  Is most certainly not the Golden Rule!!! The Golden Rule says ”Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” How true! Don’t be pushy, and bossy, if you would not like to be bossed around. Don’t whine and complain if you wouldn’t want to be around someone like that.

Another rule would be loyalty. Stick by your friends side. Don’t think like Suzy Jane, this is how her train of thought works. Oh, well, Rachel is my friend now, but if a popular girl asks to be my friend, I can simply switch friends. Don’t think like that! I you stick to the right friend, you’ll be truly happy. It’s easiest to stick to your friend when you do the right thing.

Stand up for your friend. If anyone picks on your friend, or teases him or her, stand up for your friend. Never take the side of your friends persecutor! Stand up, confront the person who is wronging your friend!!! Not only will your friend be happy, but you’ll be happy because you did the right thing. And, if you think that you are happy then, just wait and see what is in store for you in Heaven!

Our Greatest Friend

I mentioned earlier that I would tell you about one Friend that we should all know and love. I am going to tell you about Him. This friend, He will never leave you or forsake you. This Friend is holy. This Friend is perfect in every way, this Friend wrote the rules of friendship. This Friend is the reason I wrote this, and also, above all, this Friend saved our lives! This Friend has many different names. The most common one would be God, or even more common, Jesus. Some of His other names would only be common with pastors, and some Christians. One of these names, my dad’s favorite, would be Ancient of Days, and here are some others, the first one is my favorite, Alpha and Omega, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Jehovah Jivah, and many more. This is the Friend you should thank every day! He deserves it! I mean, you might think that your friend that you see every Friday Is your best friend, but Jesus is your true Best Friend. And by the word “Best” I really mean “Best”!

But in the end, it will come to  our loss.

But He came, to give us mercy again.

Just like Jonah, Jesus forgave our sin.

So don’t wait! Take hold of this great chance!

It does not matter if your name is Lu Lu, or Lance!

Jesus came to save us all!

Whether we are big or small!

Jesus came to love us, we should not turn our back!

Like I said before, He is  the holiness we lack!
